Big Dude - Another big class dropper, this one from the Mitchell barn; has room to improve even more and upset today.

Newport Topper - P Val has a chance to sit a perfect inside trip and rally late; third start off a 2-month sabbatical.
Udriga - Speedball won for $50k, now is dropped in for $40k; red flag move, but if she's right she'll take some beating.
Long Shot - Butterfly Belle
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Pinata - Dead late closer should see a wicked pace to close into; this is class relief compared to stakes she's run in.
Downthedustyroad - Speedball may face a big obstacle in Dearest Trickski; if the two buzzsaw duel, others will benefit.

Hoods Up - Baffert has an uncoupled entry in here so be wary of the longer price; had a troubled debut up in NoCal.
Victory Pete - Logical chalk in a race fraught with danger; found his best stride too late, but has questions marks.

Onida - Small edge in one of the toughest races on the card; Gomez is not riding many horses, but all of them are live.
Hello Bolly - Mullins charge takes a small class drop in search of victory; will sit midpack and try to make her move late.

McArthur - Carava newcomer ran well in debut at Calder; South Florida imports have a history of running well in SoCal.

Stage Sensation - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; figures to stalk and grind it out late.
Swishing Tiger - Among the FTS, this one gets Gomez and is bred to be quick; watch the tote board for additional clues.
