Best Friends Animal Society: Volunteer ambassador, grant writer, burro rescue member, pet adoption assistant, Nevada team leader, news writer and resource associate needed.

First Friday, through June 3: Volunteers needed for a variety of tasks for this monthly arts event.

Habitat for Humanity: Truck drivers, receptionist and other volunteers needed.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada: Wish ambassadors, consultants, event crews, office workers and other volunteers needed.

Premier Exhibitions: Docents needed to work in galleries to explain science, human anatomy, health and biology.

The Salvation Army: Disaster service volunteers needed to be on call; training is provided.

State Health Insurance Advisory Program: Volunteers needed to assist Medicare beneficiaries with their questions and problems; training is provided.
