Baker Park hosts animated film series Thursdays in July

Families may bring picnics, blankets and lawn chairs to Baker Park at 10th Street and St. Louis Avenue on Thursday evenings in July to watch animated movies under the stars.

The movies begin at 8 p.m. Admission is free.

The series opens July 5 with "The Ant Bully."

On July 12, a conniving raccoon stars in "Over the Hedge."

In "Open Season" on July 19, Boog, a grizzly bear finds his comfortable life as the star of a nature show turned upside down.

The series concludes on July 26 with "Curious George: Show Me the Monkey."
