Suspect arrested in fatal shooting

Henderson police arrested a 23-year-old Las Vegas man Wednesday in connection with a shooting that left one man dead at a Henderson business.

Riguel Manuel Gonzalez was booked into the Henderson jail on charges of murder with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon.

Gonzalez is accused of shooting 24-year-old Arnold S. Diaz Jr. inside an airbrush business in the 600 block of North Pueblo Boulevard.

About 10:30 a.m. on March 7, Diaz was working at the business when a man dressed in black entered and fired several shots, killing Diaz.

Another employee in the business was able to escape.

Police said Gonzalez had previously argued with Diaz, and the shooting is believed to be gang-related.

Police said Gonzalez was arrested outside Henderson Justice Court when he showed up there for his hearing for a previous arrest for driving under the influence, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of an unregistered firearm.
