Caesars Foundation gives $50,000 to Nature Conservancy

The Caesars Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant Tuesday to The Nature Conservancy for its Whit Hall Interpretive Center in Northern Nevada.

The grant will help remodel an existing home at River Fork Ranch near Genoa into the center, the Las Vegas-based foundation said in a statement.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. and its employees fund the foundation.

When it's complete this year, the Whit Hall Interpretive Center will showcase alternative energy, including solar panels, and sustainable building and development techniques.

The center will feature several hiking trials, a wheelchair-accessible nature loop, and educational programs geared toward elementary and high school students.
