Affinity Gaming loses $2.3 million in third quarter

Affinity Gaming suffered a third- quarter net loss of $2.3 million, due mainly to the three-month closure of a Missouri casino due to flooding.

The company, formerly known as Herbst Gaming, said its net revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $103.9 million compared with $112.6 million in the same quarter a year ago, a decline of 7.7 percent.

A year ago the company reported net income of $3.3 million.

Affinity is restructuring. It is selling its Nevada slot machine route operations to both Golden Gaming and JETT Gaming; its two Pahrump casinos to Golden Gaming; and its Searchlight casino to JETT.
