Wynn warehouse workers reject joining Teamsters union

Warehouse employees at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore have rejected a union.

The vote – conducted and monitored by the National Labor Relations Board on Friday – was 57 against the union and 34 in favor of an organizing offer by the Professional, Clerical and Miscellaneous Employees Local 995 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

The resort’s warehouse workers have never been represented by a union. Voters included receiving and warehouse attendants, runners and retail clerks, the company said.

Representatives of Local 995 were did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
