China-based wireless technology provider opens Las Vegas office, plans to hire hundreds

Wirelessor, a Shenzhen, China-based wireless technology provider, has opened its North American headquarters in Las Vegas and plans to hire hundreds within the next 24 months.

The company manufactures battery-charging, data-transfer and wireless-control devices that are compatible with devices made by Apple, Windows and Amazon. Wirelessor products will soon be available on Amazon.com and in retail stores.

Based at the Rob Roy InNEVationCenter, the company has moved senior management to Las Vegas and plans to start hiring new leadership in February. CEO Gary Lee said he plans to build a manufacturing and distribution plant in Las Vegas in the next 18 to 24 months.

Lee said he chose Las Vegas for its famous name and convention industry, as well as proximity to West Coast logistic providers.

“I was considering opening my North American operation in Long Beach, but after comparing the region’s political, tax, and economic climates, I decided that Las Vegas was the better option,” Lee said.

“This is a big deal for Nevada,” said Tom Skancke, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “Wherever you go in China, you see Wirelessor devices powering smart phones and helping to make the economy work. … “
