At a recent Clark County Commission meeting in which the University Medical Center's finances were discussed, commission Chairman Rory Reid directed University Medical Center's top administrator to ask medical service providers to make financial concessions in their reimbursement contracts to help the hospital balance its budget. UMC is $60 million in debt even before upcoming reductions in Medicaid reimbursements.
