Fremont Street to unveil SlotZilla

Will a zipline that launches its riders from a slot machine attract more visitors to Fremont Street? The Fremont Street Experience is betting on it.

Jeff Victor, president of the Fremont Street Experience, on Nov. 27 will introduce SlotZilla, a permanent, themed zipline ride that will take riders into the world's largest slot machine. The project will replace the current Flightlinez ride.

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Rossi Ralenkotter, president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, will be at the news conference at the Fremont Street Experience's First Street Stage. A six-foot model of the project also will be unveiled.

The project is also expected to create 150 construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs to operate the ride once construction is completed.
