Full House Resorts said it will build a 240-room resort-style hotel on the FireKeepers Casino site in Battle Creek, Mich.
In a statement Wednesday , Full House said the project is in its final design stage, is expected to break ground in the spring of 2011 and is expected to open in late summer of 2012.
Full House manages FireKeepers for the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians. Full House oversaw the development, design and construction of the property, which opened in August 2009.
The company said the hotel will go up on 78 acres of tribal land now held in trust by the federal government and earmarked for continuing economic development by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band.
