Hard Rock Hotel names new chief operating officer

Paul Pusateri was named Wednesday chief operating officer of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

Pusateri, a 20-year veteran of the gaming and hospitality business, will oversee day-to-day operations, including the casino and hotel, Vanity nightclub and its Rehab Sunday pool party.

Pusateri previously served as president with the Palms and Palms Place Resort & Spa.

His departure from the Palms in June was announced shortly after owner George Maloof completed a restructuring of the property that gives majority ownership to Leonard Green & Partners LP and TPG Capital.

Pusateri previously served as executive vice president of The Venetian. Pusateri since 1996 has also been instrumental in Las Vegas development through executive posts at Park Place Entertainment, Turnberry Associates and Las Vegas Sands Corp.
