Huntington Capital opens offices in Las Vegas and Reno

Huntington Capital, a boutique San Diego-based private equity firm focused on lower-to-middle market investment opportunities, has hired two full-time employees and opened offices in Las Vegas and Reno, state Treasurer Kate Marshall said Wednesday.

In June, the Nevada Capital Investment Corp. approved a $5 million investment from the Silver State Opportunity Fund in Huntington Capital’s Fund III. The new Huntington Capital offices were negotiated as part of the investment.

The Silver State Opportunity Fund is $50 million of nontaxpayer money dedicated to investing in companies in Nevada, looking to expand within the state, or seeking to relocate to Nevada.

“This is very exciting news for Nevada businesses and entrepreneurs, as Huntington Capital has an outstanding record across the Western United States as a lender in working with small business enterprises that sometimes cannot obtain sufficient funding through the usual sources,” said Marshall, who is also chair of the NCIC board of directors.
