Gasoline prices fall
over two-week period
The national average price for gasoline dropped about 2.9 cents over the last two weeks, according to a survey released Sunday.
The average price of regular gasoline on Friday was about $2.75 a gallon, mid-grade was $2.88, and premium was $2.99, oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said.
The nation's lowest average price was in Phoenix, where a gallon of regular cost $2.51.
The highest gasoline price was in Honolulu at $3.12, according to the Lundberg Survey of 7,000 stations nationwide.

Yahoo to offer new
e-mail enhancements
Yahoo Inc. will introduce new features today for its popular Web-based e-mail program, including software that allows computer users to type text messages on a keyboard and send them directly to someone's cell phone.
The enhancements make it easier to send e-mail, instant messages or text messages from a single Web site -- no need to launch or toggle between separate applications or devices. It will take up to six weeks for all the new features to become available to all 254 million Yahoo Mail subscribers in 21 languages worldwide.
The most obvious beneficiaries will be parents, who will be able to use their keyboards to type messages sent to their children's cell phones -- no thumb-twisting typing on a dial pad, said Yahoo Vice President John Kremer.
The changes come amid fierce competition among providers of free, Web-based e-mail services. Yahoo, Microsoft Corp.'s Hotmail and Google Inc.'s Gmail.
