Chamber seeking applicants for program
The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its Leadership Las Vegas class of 2008.
Leadership Las Vegas is a 10-month program teaching participants in-depth about local education, healthcare, gambling and tourism, criminal justice, history, social services and government.
In a statement, the chamber said more than 900 community and business leaders have graduated from the program over the past 21 years.
To qualify for this year's class, applicants must have lived in Southern Nevada for at least two years.
Prospective candidates can find applications at www.lvchamber.com or by calling leadership programs manager Ron Cameron at 641-5822.
Applications are due to the chamber by 4 p.m. June 8.
Wingstop, a chicken wing restaurant, opened in the food court of the Green Valley Ranch Resort.
