Meadows Bank opens Reno loan office

Meadows Bank on Tuesday opened a new loan production office in Reno and hired veteran banker Dennis Williams to oversee its operations.

Williams was named the bank's regional president and will coordinate future expansion in Northern Nevada, said Arvind Menon, president and CEO of Las Vegas-based Meadows Bank.

"As a Nevada state chartered financial institution we were always interested in having a representative in Reno and we are extremely fortunate to have someone of Denny's caliber ... join our bank," Menon said in a statement.

Meadows Bank operates branches in Las Vegas, and Pahrump, along with loan production offices in Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Denver, and Sacramento, Calif. The community bank, which specializes in SBA loans, on May 3 posted net income of $626,000 for the first quarter of 2012, its fifth straight profitable quarter.
