Mob Experience at Tropicana will become Mob Attraction

The Mob Experience at the Tropicana Las Vegas will change its identity.

The new owners announced Monday that it will become the Mob Attraction when it formally reopens at an undisclosed date. The promoters promised other changes but didn't offer details.

"(W)e are going to be swift with changes as we prepare to open our doors once again," Andrew DeMaio, president of JVLV New Holdings, which bought the attraction out of bankruptcy in January, said in a statement.

The owners said they will install better audiovisual equipment and special effects. But they have little choice because most originals were repossessed with the attraction fell into insolvency.

The part of the attraction built around the personal effects of prominent mobsters has remained open, but that makes up less than half of the original attraction. Control of the artifacts is still open to legal dispute.
