Nevada State Bank has smartphone apps

Nevada State Bank has announced it is joining the world of smartphone apps. The Las Vegas-based bank released its mobile applications for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices.

Cathy Sheehy, the NSB’s online banking manager, said it offered their clients the ability to access account information anytime and anywhere there is cell coverage or access to wireless Internet service.

The main features include the ability to check account balances, monitor recent activity and transfer funds from one account to another.

Founded in 1959, Nevada State Bank has $4.1 billion in assets and operates 53 branches statewide. The bank is a subsidiary of Salt Lake City-based Zions Bancorporation.
