Las Vegas-based Oriens Travel & Hotel Management said it is negotiating to purchase a hotel near the Six Flags theme park in the suburbs of Atlanta.
Oriens, which has stock trading on the Pink Sheets, did not identify which property it wanted to purchase nor the price, but an "anticipated value" of $3 million. Oriens CEO Ken Chua said the property would be reflagged under the company's Hotel Pure brand.
Although the stock is publicly traded, it has not filed quarterly financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission. According to a report on company letterhead kept at otcmarkets.com, Oriens had revenues of $30,600 and an $1,100 loss during the third quarter of last year, the most recent numbers available.
The Hotel Pure website lists 26 properties, many of them under different names and most in Costa Rica. The two U.S. hotels are in Fort Smith, Ark., and Santa Cruz, Calif.
