Miracle Mile Shops collects funds for Dress For Success

Miracle Mile Shops will collect donations in its fountain for Dress for Success Southern Nevada throughout July. Dress for Success promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, enabling them to build a career and become self-sufficient.

Since its inception, Dress for Success has served more than 1,500 local women through its various programs.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children receives $2.6 million grant

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children was recently awarded a $2.6 million grant for an extreme makeover project for funding of the 10 foster homes on the charity’s Boulder City campus, as well as upgrades to the chapel that is used by the organization and the community.

Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada receives $10,500

Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada received a $10,500 donation from Southland Industries, one of the nation’s largest mechanical, electrical and plumbing building systems experts providing engineering, construction, service and energy service solutions, at the company’s annual Southwest Golf Classic.

Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf Las Vegas has Support at Home promotion

The Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf Las Vegas is supporting active troops, veterans and their families through their Support at Home promotion.

For every purchase of any Support at Home branded retail coffee or tea through Aug. 10, $1 will be donated to Operation Homefront.

Park Place Infiniti hosts bottled water drive to benefit Shade Tree

Park Place Infiniti will host a monthlong bottled water drive throughout July to benefit Shade Tree shelter.

The drive is a project of the dealership’s Circle of Excellence, an employee-led program dedicated to helping worthwhile causes across Southern Nevada.

Joe’s Seafood to host benefit for Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

Horses4Heroes gets volunteer work, donation for project

Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes opened its new Community Equestrian Center at the historical Tule Springs Ranch recently after volunteer contractors completed $80,000 worth of work on the weekslong project and donated an additional $20,000 for the group. Construction charity organization AGC Charities Inc., with the leadership of Martin-Harris Construction, built a new riding center, mare motel and barnyard as part of its series of renovation projects known as Operation Opening Doors.

The facility will allow Horses4Heroes to offer riding and animal care programs for significantly more veterans, emeergenc personnel and their families.

Since it was founded in 2006, the local charity has been operating out of the backyard of its founder, Sydney Knott.
