Poll seeks best places to work in valley

Everyone's heard all those stories about having the worst boss in the world, or about co-workers stabbing each other in the back, or about bosses who expect you to work 20 hours a day.

So have we. And we're not looking for those stories here either.

What we do want to hear, though, are some stories about how much you do like your job and why.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal and Las Vegas Business Press are planning to do a story about the best places to work in Southern Nevada, and we need your help.

The story will cover small, midsize and large businesses, so if you work in Southern Nevada, you're just the person we're looking for to help us find some of the best workplaces in the area. Small businesses would be those with fewer than five employees, midsize businesses are those with as many as 100 and large businesses are those with more than 100 employees.

The form asks some simple questions about your place of employment and your bosses. It also asks you to explain what exactly makes going to work every day fun and exciting.

The online questionnaire needs to be completed and submitted as soon as possible so the editors and reporters can begin selecting a final list of the best places to work in Southern Nevada.

Any information or comments you submit may be used for publication, and, please, include your name, telephone number and e-mail address so a reporter can contact you later for further comment if your business is picked as one of our finalists.

So please take a couple of minutes, visit our Web site and tell us what makes your business the best place to work in the valley.
