Southern Nevada’s role in global economy focus of Preview Las Vegas

Southern Nevada’s role in the global economy will be spotlighted Friday at Peview Las Vegas, a half-day business forecasting and networking event sponsored by the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Nearly 2,000 employers and community leaders are expected to attend the chamber’s largest annual event. Doors open at 7 a.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center and the Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, campus.

Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at the chamber office through Thursday and at the Thomas & Mack Center box office Friday morning.

Bloomberg Television anchor Trish Regan, host of “Street Smart” and a financial columnist for USA Today, will be a featured speaker at the event that also includes a trade show with about 100 exhibitors and food outlets.

Regan is expected to to deliver a keynote presentation on geopolitical and economic events that will shape business and economic growth.

Three local speakers will provide updates and forecasts relevant to Southern Nevada. Presentations are planned by Jeremy Aguero, principal analyst for Las Vegas-based Applied Analysis; Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority; and Robert Lang, UNLV director of Brookings Mountain West.

Kristin McMillan, president and CEO of the chamber, will serve as master of ceremonies for the event.
