Steelworkers to represent Western Cab drivers in contract talks
United Steelworkers Local 711A has won the right to represent Western Cab Co. drivers in negotiating their first collective bargaining agreement.
Western Cab Co. has 280 drivers. United Steelworkers has already organized six other cab companies in Las Vegas, plus a limousine and shuttle bus company, covering more than 3,000 employees.
The company agreed to recognize the union after it collected enough signatures to file for an union election earlier this year.
