The Mob Attraction makes a comeback in Las Vegas

The Mob Attraction at the Tropicana Las Vegas will reopen fully on March 1.

Due to financial problems that culminated in a trip to U.S. Bankruptcy Court, what was formally called the Mob Experience had shut down many of the special effects and laid off the actors that impersonated Mafia soldiers. Much of the hardware that created the audio and visual special effects was repossessed.

The only sections that have remained open were the artifacts collections and the gift shop.

With new ownership that purchased the attraction out of bankruptcy and rent concessions from the Tropicana to help the attraction put itself on a firm financial footing, the revived version will bring back the actors and the effects with new hardware.

General admission will run $25, $22 for locals, seniors and military and $15 for children ages 6 to 11.

The Mob Museum downtown allowed in its first patrons on Feb. 14.
