WestJet will add three new cities in winter-schedule boost
Canadian discount airline WestJet will add three new cities as part of its annual snowbird-schedule boost.
From Sept. 9 through Nov. 28, the carrier will go two times a week to both Hamilton, Ontario, and Prince George, British Columbia. Twice-a-week service to London, Ontario, will run from Oct. 30 through April 26.
All told, these and some other schedule changes will add 251 seats a day, or about two of the Boeing 737s that WestJet flies, compared with one year ago. Generally, the airline makes significant changes in its schedule depending on the season; WestJet listed 56 flights a week in August, compared with 73 in January.
With 547,000 passengers through the first seven months of this year, WestJet is by far the largest foreign airline to land at McCarran.
