3-year-old child dies after car accident
A 3-year-old child died Monday afternoon after the car the child was in was involved in a head-on collision in the south valley, Las Vegas police said.
The identity of the child was not released.
Police spokesman Jose Hernandez said the collision occurred at 12:07 p.m. near Eastern Avenue and Pebble Road.
The child died on the way to University Medical Center, Hernandez said.
The collision was between a sport utility vehicle and a sedan.
A driver was also hospitalized with unknown injuries, Hernandez said.
