Boy injured, driver flees in Laughlin hit and run

Las Vegas police officers are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a hit and run that left a 5-year-old boy hospitalized.
On Monday, Laughlin resident officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about a child who had been hit by a vehicle.
They arrived about 7 p.m. to the scene near Needles Highway and Cal Edison Drive in Laughlin. The child was transported immediately to the Western Arizona Medical Center in Bullhead City. He was reported to be in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene. The vehicle was described as a gold or brown pickup truck or SUV, said police.
