Child critical after I-15 accident near Primm
A child was airlifted to University Medical Center Sunday afternoon after the vehicle it was in crashed into a semi-truck on Interstate 15 near Primm, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Trooper Jeremie Elliott said the crash occurred about 3:52 p.m. when an Infiniti sedan rear-ended a semi-truck.
As of 4:45 p.m., all lanes on I-15 southbound at mile marker one were closed as the helicopter was expected to land on the highway in order to transport the child to the hospital.
Three of the four lanes were reported open as of 6:45 p.m.
