Coroner identifies 17-year-old killed in Sunday accident

The 17-year-old boy who died in an accident in the intersection of Washburn Road and Goldfield Street early Sunday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Jahlonn Williams was driving a Toyota Sedan when he was hit by a Saturn that ran a stop sign, according to North Las Vegas police.

A 13-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle and later transported to University Medical Center with severe head trauma. She was listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Saturn, Douglas Bruce, 18, suffered minor injuries and was arrested by police on numerous traffic-related charges.
