Coroner identifies homicide victim

A man who was shot and killed Friday was identified by the Clark County coroner as Kamau Griffin, 22.

Las Vegas police are investigating the death, which was ruled a homicide.

The shooting was reported at 12:22 a.m. on the 2900 block of Sandy Lane, near Pecos Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Police believe Griffin, found dead with multiple gunshot wounds, went to the rear of the apartment to investigate a noise.
