Coroner’s office identifies man found; suspect arrested

A man found dead Sunday at the Pinewood Apartments near Swenson Street and Twain Avenue was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner's office as 36-year-old Jose Chan-Dzul.

The coroner's office hasn't determined the cause of death for the Las Vegas man.

Las Vegas Police were alerted to the man's death Sunday afternoon. Homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said Chan-Dzul had been stabbed and the wound appeared to be a few days old.

Jose Lara-Caamal, 53, was arrested in connection with Chan-Dzul's death Sunday on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.

No additional details were released about Chan-Dzul's death or Lara-Caamal's arrest.
