Dead man identified, cause of death undetermined

A body found next to a west valley trash bin Sunday afternoon was identified Wednesday by the Clark County coroner's office as James Patrick Duffy, 61.

Las Vegas police said the body was found about 3:30 p.m. near 1001 S. Rainbow Blvd., near Charleston Boulevard.

Police said there didn't appear to be signs of trauma on the body. The coroner's office will determine the cause and manner of death.

The Metropolitan Police Department's Violent Crimes Section was investigating the death.
