Fire damages West Sahara realty office

Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze early Saturday morning that caused considerable damage to an office building on West Sahara Avenue just east of South Cimarron Road.

Fire dispatchers received the call at 3:30 p.m. at the offices of Coldwell Banker/Premier Realty, 8290 W. Sahara Ave .

Firefighters responded to a 911 call from a security guard for the building after the alarms inside were triggered, apparently by an intruder.

The smoke was so thick inside that firefighters at first had a hard time locating flames.

There were no reported injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation and the amount in damages have not yet been assessed.
