Hearing set for trio charged in robbery, shooting death
A Las Vegas judge set an evidence hearing for three teenagers charged as adults with murder, conspiracy and robbery in the slaying of a towing company worker.
Justice of the Peace Deborah Lippis on Thursday combined cases that had been filed separately against Jurdoun Foger Holmes, Daniel Jarod Goodman and Tyler John Ashley.
The judge set a preliminary hearing May 8 to decide if the case should move to state court.
Holmes turned 18 a week after the March 1 slaying of Wallace David Zarza.
Ashley is 15. Goodman is 18.
Police say Zarza was lured to a northwest Las Vegas address on a ruse, robbed of an iPhone and company checks he brought with him to buy two cars, and shot dead in the street.
