Inmate found dead in Northern Nevada prison cell
An inmate at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center was found dead in his cell Saturday.
Officials identified the inmate as Richard Ferst.
Ferst was serving a 72- to 240-month sentence for burglary and grand larceny. He had been incarcerated at the corrections center since July 2011, officials said.
Ferst was the second Northern Nevada Correctional Center inmate to die last week.
On Friday, Larry Peck was found unresponsive in his cell and transported to Carson Tahoe Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Foul play was no suspected in either death, officials said.
