Kingman men indicted in July 2011 slaying

KINGMAN, Ariz.-- Two Kingman men have been charged in a 2011 homicide.

A Mohave County grand jury on Thursday indicted Russell Shields, 42, and John Langan, 32, for first-degree murder and misconduct involving weapons in the slaying of Alberto Orosco, 28, of Kingman.

Orosco's body was found July 18, 2011, in a vehicle parked in the 3200 block of Lomalai Street in Kingman. Shields and Langan were arrested in August and charged with abandonment of Orosco's body, tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution.

It took seven months for authorities to build the murder case presented to the grand jury. Police reports indicate investigators believe the homicide occurred while Orosco was being robbed of about $400.
