Man arrested in Sunday central valley shooting
A 45-year-old man was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal central valley shooting, Las Vegas police said Monday.
The victim's identity was not released.
Henderson resident Brenton Smith was arrested on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon after officers arrived at the 800 block of West Lake Boulevard, near Lake Mead Boulevard and H Street.
Police said about 1:35 a.m. Sunday, they were called to the scene and found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.
Police said the shooting happened after a fight between Smith and the victim.
