A 77-year-old man from Bullhead City, Ariz., was killed in an automobile wreck in a Laughlin casino parking lot Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.
Police said the driver of a 2001 Cadillac Eldorado was parked in a stall outside the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino. Another vehicle, a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer driven by 62-year-old Gary Getty, also of Bullhead City, stopped to let the Cadillac back out. The driver of the Cadillac reportedly slumped over as the car began to reverse. The Cadillac accelerated and struck the front of the Mercury.
The driver of the Cadillac, unidentified by police at this time, was transported to West Arizona Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The exact cause of death is pending examination by the Mohave County Office of the Medical Examiner. Police said the incident may be medically related. The collision also remains under investigation.
