Man shot, killed in North Las Vegas
A man was shot and killed late Saturday night near Cheyenne Road and Civic Center Drive, according to North Las Vegas police.
Police received a call just before midnight regarding a shooting in an apartment complex at 3301 Civic Center Drive.
At the scene, officers found a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates the man was standing in a common area in the middle of the apartment complex when he was shot, police officials said.
The shooter might have ran away or left in a vehicle and still remains at large. This is the first homicide in North Las Vegas this year.
