Man stabbed to death in fight identified
The man fatally stabbed after a fist fight Sunday afternoon has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as 35-year-old Lawrence Velasquez.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dpartment, officers arrived at the apartment complex at 3756 Wynn Road just before 3 p.m. where they found Velasquez's body lying on the grounds of the complex. Officers found another victim suffering from a single stab wound. The second victim was transported to University Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
A suspect, 32-year-old Nerio Nava, was arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder in connection to these crimes, police said.
