No one injured as blaze forces restaurant evacuation in Henderson

A fire inside an Olive Garden in Henderson caused an evacuation of the restaurant Thursday afternoon, the Clark County Fire Department said.

Firefighters from Clark County and Henderson responded to the blaze. Henderson fire officials were alerted to the fire at 4400 E. Sunset Road, near Green Valley Parkway, about 2 p.m.

The fire was believed to have begun in a utility room. Most of the fire was confined to the northeast corner of the building. No one was injured.

A Henderson fire official estimated the damage to be a minimum of $60,000. Officials said an ice machine malfunctioned, but the cause was still under investigation.
