North Las Vegas police arrest home invasion suspect

A North Las Vegas man accused of robbing several elderly people at gunpoint was arrested Thursday, but police are still looking for a second suspect.

After a five-week investigation, North Las Vegas police arrested Davon Xavier Lyons, 19, at his apartment. Officers recovered stolen property — including two guns — marijuana and items used to package it for sale.

Lyons is accused of following elderly victims into their open garages, along with a partner, and forcing them into their homes at gunpoint. One suspect would watch the victims while the other ransacked their homes, police reported.

Lyons was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on 23 felony charges in connection with three home invasions occurring between Feb. 11 and March 15. The five victims ranged in age from 73 to 85.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. Crime Stopper tips leading to a felony arrest or an indictment may result in a cash reward.
