BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. - A hit-and-run traffic fatality is under investigation in northwest Arizona.
Bullhead City police responded at 10:25 p.m. Saturday when a resident notified authorities that he could hear a man moaning outside his home in the 1600 block of Highland Road.
"Officers located 50-year-old Michael Clayton Clark of Bullhead City, who was severely injured and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle," said police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. She said Clark was flown to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he died Sunday.
Fromelt said drag marks consistent with a collision involving a bicycle were found in the street, but no bike was found.
"Police believe the suspect who hit Clark (went) back to the scene and took the bicycle," she said.
A reward of up to $750 is offered for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the driver. Information may be provided anonymously to the Police Department at 928-763-9200 or the Silent Witness hotline, 888-227-8780.
