One man found dead, another wounded in gas station parking lot

Henderson police are investigating two people found wounded in a gas station parking lot Wednesday. One person died.

Department spokesman Keith Paul said a clerk at a Chevron station on St. Rose Parkway between Seven Hills Drive and Eastern Avenue looked outside and saw a man staggering in the parking lot.

"She saw that he was obviously wounded and bloody," he said. "She went out and saw another wounded man in a van in front of the gas station."

She called 911 about 11:35 a.m., but the man in the van was dead by the time paramedics arrived. The other man was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, in unknown condition. Their names were not released.

The nature of their injuries wasn't known, Paul said.

Investigators think the pair was attacked at another, unknown location but drove the van to the gas station, Paul said.
