One prison inmate caught; second escapee still at large

Authorities say a Nevada state prison inmate is back in custody and another remained at large Saturday, two days after they escaped from a work crew.

State prison spokesman Steve Suwe said Las Vegas police arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Jackson on Friday. Jackson was serving up to 60 months for conspiracy to commit a violent crime and a concurrent sentence of up to 96 months for car theft.

Before his capture, he and 32-year-old Spike Brown were last seen Wednesday near U.S. 95 approaching Interstate 15.

Brown, who was serving up to 10 years for possession of stolen property and a consecutive sentence of up to 72 months on a weapons charge, is still missing.
