Pedestrian hit, seriously injured

A woman who was struck by a car while walking across a street Tuesday night was hospitalized with serious injuries, Las Vegas police said.

Lt. Mark Reddon said shortly after 7 p.m. a 25-year-old woman was not in a crosswalk when she was struck by a car traveling east on Flamingo Road, near McLeod Drive.

The woman was treated at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver who struck her was cooperating, and the investigation was ongoing.
