Police investigating death of baby boy
Las Vegas police said Thursday they are investigating the death of a 2-month-old boy.
Spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday, police received a call from a person at a residence on the 9400 block of Lake Creek Street, near Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard South, about a baby who wasn't breathing.
The baby was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus, and died there.
The Clark County coroner's office has not determined the cause and manner of the baby's death. Officials did not release the baby's name Thursday.
Meltzer said her agency's Abuse and Neglect Detail is investigating. The investigation is in the preliminary stages, Meltzer said.
