Police looking for man who fled park after girl, 14, shot in chest

A 14-year-old girl was shot in the chest while at a park near D Street and Lake Mead Boulevard about 8:45 p.m. Monday, Las Vegas police said.

The teen was hospitalized in critical condition.

The suspect, described as a man in his late 20s, was seen running from the park with a handgun, police said. Several other males were seen with the suspect.

The shooting is still under investigation.
