Police seek possible victims of gun store owner
Las Vegas police are seeking potential victims of a gun store owner accused of selling illegal weapons to customers.
Kelly Carn, 54, owner of The Gun Vault Inc., sold an illegal machine gun to a person in 2009, police said. He was indicted by a Clark County Grand Jury in December.
Police said Carn "preyed upon" people unfamiliar with the process of getting federal approval to possess a machine gun. He took money after falsely claiming he would submit paperwork for purchasing machine guns, silencers and short-barrel weapons to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He often never submitted the paperwork, police said.
Anyone with information or who believes they purchased illegal weapons from Carn is urged to call the Firearms Investigations Section at 828-2953.
