Police seek suspects following shooting inside store

Two suspects remained on the loose Wednesday after a store employee shot at would-be robbers in a south valley consignment store Tuesday.

Las Vegas police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said no arrests had been made after a robbery attempt at a business on the 2300 block of East Serene Avenue, near Eastern Avenue about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police had no descriptions of the suspects, who were wearing masks, Meltzer said. The suspects came into the store and began breaking display cases. An employee grabbed a gun and fired at least one round, Meltzer said.

It was unknown whether either suspect was struck, Meltzer said.

People were inside the business, but no one was hurt.

The suspects' getaway vehicle was recovered shortly after the robbery attempt, Meltzer said.
